British Airways A319 Club Europe TLS-LHR Airbus Factory
This post inlcudes photos from my trip to the Airbus factory and a visit to the Airbus museum.
What better way to sample Airbus A350 than visit Airbus itself? After flying Air France to Paris on an A350 then a short flight down to Toulouse, I was set to visit the factory. Cameras were not allowed in tha factory where one of the final Emirates A380s was being assembled so sadly no photos, however after the factory tour I went to the museum where cameras were allowed.
It’s a good thing it didn’t take long to cross the Atlantic looking at the size of those seats. How cool an experience it must have been.
Model planes were available for purchase which I purchased a couple. These were a little too big to fit in my carryon.
Outside was an actual A400 military aircraft you could enter. What a beast this guy is!
The tour was great. In addition to going inside the factory you got on a bus an toured the Airbus grounds, seeing all the planes in their various state of readiness. If you ever have a chance, this tour is highly recommened.
Soon it was off to the airport. Being winter I didn’t want to fly out in the morning and risk a missed connection, so I took the late afternoon flight to London.
After clearing customs in Toulouse I headed to the gate and found a very French restaurant so I grabbed a bit to eat.
And enjoyed the views.
Toulse Airport IS Airbus. So the departure offered some very cool views of the factory, including the building I was in where the A380 was being buildt.
The British Airways Club Europe is economy with the middle seat blocked. Comfortable enough for a couple hour jaunt north to London.
And unlike our couterparts here in the US, British Airways served a very good light meal. In the US you might get some crackers.
This aircraft was an A319 and had the original IFE. Ugh.
On time, arrived safely, had a decent bite to eat, what more could you ask for!
