ZRH Swiss First Class Lounge
Whichever lounge you think is best, Lufthansa’s First Class Terminal in Frankfurt, Cathay Pacific’s First Class Pier in Hong Kong, Qantas First Class lounge in Sydney, Singapore Airlines The Private Room, British Airways Concorde Room or any other, a visit to the Swiss First Class lounge in Zurich may change your mind. It’s that good, especially if you get a dayroom for some much needed rest after an overnight flight.
It’s actually a true hotel room with a tarmac view!
Amenity kit and a towel for two was waiting.
Enough time for a 4 hour power nap.
What a view, the A330 that I arrived on and CX’s A350.
Full size bathroom with great rainfall shower head.
There were no time constraints using the day room. I spent 4 1/2 hours in the room and was refreshed and ready for a meal in the dining room. Unfortunately still a little to early to sample something from the wine cellar that made up part of the entryway into the lounge.
Others I suspect felt the same way as the bar was empty. Of course there were only about 4 other people in the lounge at this time of the morning.
That’s Mike. After breakfast we met on the balcony and talked avgeek airplane stuff for awhile. He was on the ride to Chicago as well.
Bar side dining room booths.
On the other side were tables for 2 or 4, or 1.
The full menu.
So many dishes to try. But I wanted breakfast and stuck to Bircher muesli.
Am I am glad I did. It was incredible.
Then a single poached egg to properly prepare for the feast to Chicago.
While the lounge doesn’t offer car rides to your plane like Lufthansa, the ambiance, airport views, dayroom and chef prepared food make it one of the top lounges I’ve been to.
